You’ve Got Questions. We’ve Got Wrenches.
Everything you need to know about getting your bike serviced at Two Wheel Drive.
Service & Timelines
Do I need to make an appointment for a repair?
For major services and tune-ups, we recommend booking a stand in advance to ensure the fastest turnaround. However, we always welcome walk-ins for "quick fixes" like flat tires, chain installs, or minor adjustments.
How long will you have my bike?
Our standard turnaround for most tune-ups is 48 to 72 hours, depending on parts availability. If you’re in a rush, ask about our "Next Day" priority service for an additional fee.
Can you give me a quote over the phone?
We can provide a ballpark range, but bikes are complex machines! For an accurate quote, we offer free "no-obligation" intake assessments where a mechanic will put your bike in the stand and give you a digital estimate.
Technical & Parts
Do you service e-bikes?
es! We service the mechanical components of almost all e-bikes. For electrical/motor issues, we specialize in Bosch, Shimano, and SRAM systems. (Please note: For safety reasons, we cannot service the batteries or motors of non-UL-certified "no-name" e-bike brands).
I bought parts online; will you install them for me?
Absolutely. While we stock a curated selection of premium parts, we are happy to install components you’ve purchased elsewhere. Our standard labor rates apply.
Do you work on vintage or department store bikes?
We love a classic steel frame! We work on almost all makes and models. However, if a bike is "beyond economical repair" (where the repair cost exceeds the bike's value), we’ll be honest with you before we start any work.
Maintenance & Care
How often should I get my bike tuned?
For the average rider, we recommend a Performance Tune-up once a season or every 1,000 miles. If you ride in the rain or on muddy trails, you may need more frequent drivetrain cleanings to prevent premature wear.
My bike is making a "creaking" noise—what is it?
Creaks are the bike's way of asking for help! It could be anything from a dry bottom bracket to a loose seatpost. Bring it in; our mechanics are experts at "creak-hunting" and silencing annoying noises.
